THE STORY OF THE CAPITOL:

The first lineup of The Capitol was formed in the Fall of 2017 with one mission: to bring funk back into the mainstream musical spotlight.

The founders of The Capitol felt that the genre as a whole was missing the accessible pop-influenced songwriting that made funk the dominant commercial form of popular music in the genre's glory days of the late 1970's.
